Therefore, a successful candidate would be responsible for:

  • Project Purchasing Leadership: Drive all procurement activities within assigned projects, ensuring alignment with technical and commodity strategies.
  • Supplier Selection & Management: Identify, evaluate, and nominate suppliers for all project phases (A1/A2 samples, prototypes, pilot series, SOP).
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on commercial terms and conditions, ensuring cost targets and compliance.
  • Scheduling & Delivery Assurance: Secure timely delivery of purchased parts, monitor milestones, and manage escalation if needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep internal stakeholders updated on project purchasing status, risks, and decisions.
  • Interface Management: Act as the primary link between project teams, commodity managers, and suppliers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with engineering, quality, logistics, and finance teams for technical alignment and risk mitigation.
  • Strategic Inputs: Provide feedback on commodity strategies and participate in cross-divisional initiatives.

Therefore, a successful candidate would have:

Core Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Several years in technical procurement or project purchasing, ideally in an international environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English (mandatory), German preferred; additional languages are a plus.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in SAP and MS365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Miro).
  • Further: Legal knowledge, Manufacturing expertise.

  • Negotiation Power: Ability to lead complex price and contract negotiations independently.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Analytical Thinking: Competence in cost analysis, investment planning, and risk management.
  • Communication & Networking: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier executives – able to work in a team
  • Soft Skills: resilience, result orientated
