Responsibilities:
- Analysis, definition, and optimization of end-to-end logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs, with a focus on warehousing and transportation.
- Tactical and strategic management of our warehouse and transport partners, including conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual review meetings.
- Preparation and analysis of KPIs (logistics dashboards) to monitor costs and process quality and derive improvement measures.
- Independent identification, handling, and resolution of logistical bottlenecks and exceptions, serving as an escalation level for daily operations.
- Close cooperation with internal stakeholders (e.g., operational logistics teams, inventory management, local sales companies/customers) as well as external logistics service providers.
- Supporting or leading (sub-) projects for the introduction of new warehouse locations, transport partners, or IT systems (WMS, TMS).
- Acting as an initiator, sparring partner, and coordinator for establishing new or optimizing existing logistics processes to increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
- Acting as an important interface between our international logistics partners and the main team in Germany.
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed studies in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or comparable qualifications.
- More than 3 years of professional experience in an international logistics environment with a focus on process management, consulting, or supply chain.
- Business fluent English skills (minimum C1 level) in spoken and written form; German skills at least B2 level are an advantage.
- Strong ability to communicate complex issues clearly and to persuade stakeholders at different levels.
- (Very) good understanding of the functionality and interaction between different IT systems: ERP (SAP) ↔ WMS ↔ TMS.
- Experience using Power Automate or AI-based solutions to optimize reports and processes.
- Analytical mindset, strong process of understanding, assertiveness, intercultural competence, and a pragmatic “hands-on” mentality
