Your main responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for all accounting-related topics in the context of M&A projects, including due diligence, financial expert sessions, carve-out financials, purchase price allocation (PPA) and post-merger integration (PMI) preparations
  • You will contribute your expertise as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders such as consulting firms, law firms and financial institutions.
  • You support the development of the M&A Accounting & Governance team.
  • You will continuously develop IFRS accounting policies and keep them up to date.
  • You will design and conduct training sessions on compliance with accounting guidelines and manage external consultants.
  • You are the first point of contact for complex and material accounting issues.
  • You will optimize existing accounting processes and drive forward the introduction of new standards.

 

Therefore, a successful candidate would have:

  • Above-average degree in business administration with a focus on finance.
  • Additional qualification as an auditor or tax consultant.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in consulting firms, auditing companies or comparable areas.
  • Experience in supporting change processes.
  • Self-starter with a global, solution-oriented mindset
  • Post merger integration
  • Due diligence
  • International project experience
  • Should manage external consultants
  • Level of seniority/experience: 2-5 years, >5 years.
  • Language skills: German is nice to have, English - advanced
